Chapter 7

M language

I’m now Five years old.

Over the past year, I’ve come to “completely understand” magic in this world.

It’s actually much more complex, but let’s take an example…

00010011

Imagine this produces a small spherical fire.

In this case, the 0001 part represents the fire itself, while 0011 represents its shape… something like that.

Of course, in reality, fire doesn’t spontaneously appear out of nowhere. Scientifically, it would involve combustible gas and sparks. But let’s ignore that for now.

Now, each substance has its own unique number assigned to it. Input that number, and you can create that substance… or something along those lines.

Increasing the amount of information seems to correlate with increased magical energy consumption, but that’s not a problem for me. My training has given me an incredible amount of magical power.

Also, there are patterns that remain stable when you forcibly create nonexistent metals. For instance, “Silver” modified to become “Pale Blue Silver,” “Gold” modified to become “Radiant Gold,” and “Iron” modified to become “Black Iron.”

I suspect these might correspond to mythical metals like Mithril, Orichalcum, or Adamantine.

Research on these materials will have to wait for another time.

For now, it’s time for the final touch…

“… Store 《M Language》 Program Run.”

In that moment, a semi-transparent window appeared before me.

《M Language Hello World!》

“I did ittttttttttttttt!!!!!!”

Three years of hard work!

I’ve finally made it this far!

What I’ve completed is the magic programming editor, “M Language”…

It’s an object-oriented magical language modeled after the C++ programming language.

From now on, magic will be modularized as “applications,” and anyone will be able to easily use various kinds of magic just by launching the application…

This M Language is the core programming language for application development!

I intentionally haven’t fine-tuned it to suit my preferences, making it user-friendly for the general public.

Alright, let’s start making some applications!

“Exus-sama?”

Ah, I left Ada alone, didn’t I?

Most of the dangerous experiments were over, so I had shifted my focus to creating the M-Language. Ada had been set aside for that purpose.

This girl was truly remarkable. I had even made her use magic that transformed her entire body into a fiery mass, yet she survived unscathed.

It seemed that as long as her magical energy didn’t deplete, her physical form wouldn’t collapse, even when turned into flames.

I had taught Ada up to short incantations (macro magic), but I hadn’t introduced her to M-Language.

If Ada were willing to leave the village and follow me, I’d gladly share my knowledge. However, I had to be cautious; spreading knowledge could erode my advantage.

Choosing the right recipient for knowledge transfer was crucial.

Anyway, I should express my gratitude.

The completion of the system owed much to Ada’s assistance.

“Thank you, Ada.”

“Huh? Why?”

“Well, I’ve reached a stopping point here.”

“Is that so?”

“Yes.”

“Good for you?”

“Indeed.”

Come to think of it, my ‘secret base’ is coming along nicely.

It’s about 1.5km from the village towards the ‘Forest of Magic’.

I’ve made some improvements for livability, but overall, I’ve kept it at a level even kids could manage.

Items like pots, which are clearly products of magic, are hidden in a hollow tree about 500m further away.

And in another place, I’ve used magic to create an underground cellar for storing food.

Winter meals are pretty meager with just preserved food… Without this cellar, it might have been worse.

Well, that’s not necessary anymore.

I’ve created a ‘zip magic’ that converts material into magic and stores it, then restores it at any time.

From now on, I’ll store everything here.

So, about the secret base.

I assembled a framework using branches from nearby trees, covered it with rabbit leather I had collected, and created a small tent. The leather is coated with beeswax.

Inside, there are chairs made from processed fallen logs and a stone-made firewood stand. I’ve strategically placed a “magic-made” knife and a polished stone axe, as if to say, “I crafted these using these tools.”

In reality, creating everything without magic would be quite challenging. I vaguely remember my childhood days in the Boy Scouts, but those memories are distant.

Anyway, in this secret base, I practice magic while enjoying delicious food conjured by magic. The weather here is mild, and I meet Ada almost every day.

I make occasional trips to the village for information gathering, but there’s been no sign that my secret base has been discovered.

Well, that should be fine.

“Today is a celebration.”

“A celebration?”

“Yes, because it’s finally complete.”

“What’s complete?”

“That’s a secret, but anyway, it’s finished. So let’s celebrate!”

“O-Okay, got it!”

I “unzip” some stored flour and other ingredients. The flour was replicated through magic after analyzing wheat grains received from local farmers.

I mix it with milk, create meringue, and cook it in a frying pan. The result? Fluffy soufflé pancakes topped with honey and berry jam.

In this world, it’s considered a fine delicacy.

“Yay! Cake!” Ada exclaims.

Oh, and just to avoid giving away our location with the sweet smell, I’ve made sure Ada brushes her teeth thoroughly.

A story in which the heroine begs for the enemy's life

Reincarnated into another world! A programmer who died on Earth wakes up to find himself a baby in a fantasy world! Though it may seem like a fantasy world, magic is processed in a computer-program-like manner for some reason! Being an Earth programmer, he can manipulate spells to wield powerful magic! It's cheating! Totally OP! I see, it's a common setup. ...But there's one problem. This guy is fatally unsuited to be the protagonist.
