“Look, Tatsuya-kun! Amazing, amazing! It’s so beautiful!”
Yura-chan excitedly whispers while at the jellyfish section of the aquarium. The jellyfish section features dozens of cylindrical tanks, extending from the ceiling to the floor, with jellyfish gently floating inside, drifting lazily.
Because of the glowing jellyfish, the room is dimly lit, and soft, colorful lights shine from various points, creating a mysterious atmosphere. There are plenty of places to sit, and several couples are seated in the rest area.
Yura-chan especially seems to love the moon jellyfish, as she stops in front of a large tank, gazing at the gently swaying jellyfish.
“You know, jellyfish, when they die, they dissolve in the sea and disappear,” Yura-chan says.
Her expression shifts from joy to one of sadness and fragility as she stares at the jellyfish.
“Humans are the same. One day, we’ll disappear. All the fun moments I’ve had with you, Tatsuya-kun, like thinking how much fun it is to be on a date or wishing we could be together more—when we die, all of that will be gone. Memories, thoughts, everything. It feels so sad, doesn’t it?”
“Yeah, you’re right. But I think it’s because things disappear that we can cherish them,” I respond, standing next to Yura-chan and gently holding her right hand with my left, as if searching for something.

Our sweet moment is broken by the announcement, and I’m relieved. It would have been dangerous if we kissed here—Yura-chan would be in an embarrassing position.
I quickly take her hand and we rush off.

I buy two raincoats from a staff member at the aquarium and hand one to Yura-chan.

We put the raincoats on over our clothes, and the dolphin show begins. The dolphins play with toys, swim with trainers, and leap high into the air. I’m thrilled to see a live dolphin show for the first time.

“Now, the fun and exciting dolphin show is coming to an end.”

Yura-chan lets out a disappointed voice at the announcement from the caretaker sister.
“Finally, the cute dolphins have a present for everyone!”
“A present!? What could it be!?”
This time, her expression turns to one of excitement. Yura-chan’s ever-changing expressions are never boring to watch.
“Now, here’s the present from the dolphins to everyone!!”
Three dolphins swim at high speed in the tank, jump high into the air, and then make a dramatic splashdown right at the edge of the pool, close to the audience seats. The splash sends water flying, and the people in the front seats scream and cheer.
“Kyaaa!”
Yura-chan also lets out a delighted scream.
“Ahahaha! That was amazing. We got totally splashed!”
“I got a little wet~”
“Did we get a wonderful present?”
“Yeah! But I don’t think it was enough to need to buy a raincoat, right?”
Yura-chan, now splashed with water, laughs with droplets still on her face. Just as we were about to take off our raincoats after the fun dolphin show…
