Regarding the Matter of Beautiful Girls Relentlessly Seeking My Body (Experience Points)
Dragging my rolling suitcase along, I walked beside Aina, who was doing the same. But this wasn’t the usual “Ain-nyan” appearance. Instead, she was dressed in a black hoodie and a thick black skirt—an outfit that practically screamed “shy introvert.”
“…You seriously look like a different person.”
“Yeah. Getting recognized would be a hassle.”
“Must be tough being a famous streamer.”
“And also, outgoing people with fulfilling lives are scary.”
“That’s the real reason, isn’t it? But still, your whole vibe is way too different.”
At home, she was a cheeky little devil of a cat-girl, but the moment she stepped outside, she became as quiet as a borrowed kitten. No one would ever guess that she was a well-known, beautiful video game streamer who also happened to be a dungeon diver.
“I’m a shy homebody and an internet warrior.”
“Did you really just say that about yourself? And even your way of speaking has changed. Well, this version of you is cute too, though.”
“…Mmm.”
Without a word, Aina punched me in the side.
“Oww! What was that for?!”
“…Just hiding my embarrassment.”
“You’re not supposed to admit that out loud.”
We continued chatting idly as we made our way to the station.
Our destination was one of Japan’s most luxurious hotels in Yokohama, the “Apple Hotel & Resort.” Of course, since we were an underage boy and girl traveling together, staying in the same room would probably raise some eyebrows. So, we had booked separate rooms.
For minors to stay alone, parental consent was usually required, but my parents were pretty laid-back. I just told them I was going on a trip with friends, and they gave me the green light without much fuss. Aina, on the other hand, didn’t need a consent form at all since she had a diver’s license. Makes sense—if she needed parental permission every time she entered a dungeon, it’d be a huge hassle.
I had booked the cheapest twin room on the lower floors for 8,000 yen. In contrast, Aina had reserved an executive suite on the top floor for a whopping 90,000 yen. I couldn’t wrap my head around it—was the room big enough to fit ten beds or something? She always complained about how she needed to keep streaming to make ends meet, but if dungeon diving was this profitable, she probably wasn’t hurting for cash. Plus, she mentioned that the hotel stay was a business expense. I didn’t even try to understand what she meant.
“Hmm~ hmm~ hmm~♪”
“You’re in a good mood. That excited?”
“Yeah. I’ve never done something like this before.”
Aina was a first-year high school student, while I was in my second year. Aside from school trips, the only vacations she had ever been on were family trips. It was no wonder she was excited.
Originally, my plan was to leave in the evening, stay the night, and return the next morning. But Aina strongly objected. She wanted to make the most of the trip, so we decided to visit an amusement park near the hotel.
Right now, it was 7 a.m. The amusement park opened at 11 a.m. Even with the hour-long trip to Yokohama, we were way too early.
“Yaaawn… Isn’t this departure way too early? Do you have something you wanna do before we go?”
“I heard there’s a café nearby with great breakfast. I wanna go there.”
“For someone who’s shy, you’re pretty proactive.”
“I’d never do this alone. But today… I have you, Onii.”
Ever since she asked me for advice, I’d been making her call me “Onii.” It wasn’t my personal preference—it was just something necessary for my plan.
“But you’re stronger than me, Aina. You’re a dungeon diver.”
“That’s not the point.”
“Okay, okay. By the way… do I have enough money for this trip? The budget of an average high school guy isn’t exactly limitless, y’know. I just bought that Meta Focus thing the other day…”
As I absentmindedly patted my wallet in my back pocket, Aina tilted her head.
“? I’ll pay for everything.”
“No, no, I can’t let you do that. I’m the older one here.”
“You’re helping me out, Onii. It’s only fair that I cover the costs. Plus, I’ve already gotten so much experience from you. I could never repay you enough for that.”
“Still… Well, I guess we’ll figure it out as we go.”
We chatted as we made our way to the café, where we enjoyed a stylish breakfast. Then, finally, it was time for the amusement park.
Even with her hood pulled down low, I could see Aina’s eyes sparkling with excitement.
She had been going through a rough time with all the online drama, but right now, she seemed to have forgotten all about it. No way was I going to ruin the moment.
“Alright! Let’s go all out and have fun! We’re riding every single attraction, Aina!”
“Yeah!”
With that overly ambitious goal in mind, we stepped into the amusement park, ready to take on the day.
