Regarding the Matter of Beautiful Girls Relentlessly Seeking My Body (Experience Points)
One day, as usual, I was playing Metafocus in Aina’s room when I noticed a settings menu. I had always been so engrossed in the game that I had never bothered to check the settings before, so I decided to open it out of curiosity. One particular option caught my eye.
“Huh. There’s something called ‘Screen Transparency Settings.’”
It was set to OFF, so I switched it to ON. And then…
“Oh—”
The usual Nyan Para scenery became semi-transparent, and I could faintly see Aina’s real-world room through it. This feature was probably meant for situations where there were a lot of objects around or when playing in a small room. While I was at it, I also turned off the noise-canceling feature.
I glanced around the room, but Aina wasn’t there. Just as I was wondering where she went, she returned from the restroom. Well, she’s a teenage girl—of course, she wouldn’t bother telling me, “I’m going to the restroom.” She probably didn’t want me hearing anything either, so it made sense for her to go while I was distracted by the game.
After returning, Aina sat on the bed and stared intently at the PC display on the desk, which mirrored the same scenery I was seeing in the game.
(Heh… She hasn’t noticed the transparency setting. I’ll pretend to be focused on the game and sneak a peek at her working out or something.)
Feeling mischievous and a bit like a genius, I continued playing. Not that I was thinking about whether I’d get a glimpse of her underwear while she was doing sit-ups or anything.
“Oh, Mikel! Good kitty, good kitty! You’re always the first one to show up!”
I ruffled Mikel’s fur in the game. The transparency setting reduced the immersion a bit since I could see Aina’s room, but it was still enjoyable.
I played for a while, but Aina didn’t start her workout. Instead, she kept staring at the monitor on the desk, watching my game with an oddly serious expression.
(Wait… Did she figure out I turned on the transparency setting?)
Just as I was starting to worry, a rare cat, Somali, appeared in the game.
“Oh! Mari! You always take your time showing up, huh?”
As I reached out to pet Mari, something strange happened.
(Wha—!?)
Aina moved—perfectly aligning herself with the in-game Mari’s position. I almost touched her and quickly pulled my hand back.
(W-What the hell is she doing…?)
As I sat there in shock, Aina tilted her head slightly, checking the screen as if something felt off. Then she adjusted her position ever so slightly and… stared right at me—like she was expecting something.
(No way… Could it be…?)
I pretended not to notice and slowly reached out for Mari again. In Nyan Para, there was nothing there—but in reality, Aina’s head was right in that spot. Wearing cat ears.
As my hand touched her, Aina closed her eyes and shivered slightly, as if enjoying it.
“……………………………………Nn♡…………………………………………………………Nn♡”
(That voice—!)
What I had always thought was just a game glitch—a weird noise—turned out to be Aina’s actual voice. And the realistic sensation I had been feeling wasn’t some ultra-immersive VR feedback—it was Aina’s hair and her cat-ear headband.
(I’m an idiot! No matter how immersive this game is, how did I not notice the difference between a VR touch and reality!?)
Internally panicking, I knew it was too late to stop now. Pretending I still hadn’t noticed, I continued petting both Mari in the game and Aina in reality.
“Y-yeah, good kitty! You really are the cutest!”
“……Nn♡………………………………Amazing♡…………………………………………More, pet me♡♡♡”
“Gah—!”
Her voice, her hazy, pleasure-filled eyes—she looked up at me, desperate and yearning. I almost froze, but I forced myself to keep going.
“You’re the best! Seriously, you’re the cutest one of all!”
“Nn…♡♡♡ Am I the best? ………………………………Nn♡♡♡…………………………………………Say it more♡♡♡♡♡”
That strange noise I used to ignore—now, with the noise-canceling off, I could hear it clearly. Aina’s soft, sweet, needy voice.
(This is… too much…!)
She was usually so sassy and full of attitude, yet now she was completely different—melting, affectionate, vulnerable. The gap was overwhelming.
(Wait… Why is she acting like this? Does she know about my experience points…? Oh—)
That’s when it hit me. I was a fool. I had grabbed Aina’s hand on the train before. From that moment, she must have realized—I have an insane amount of experience points. And Aina is a Dungeon Diver.
Maybe she was using this moment to secretly absorb some of my experience. Or maybe… she was just indulging in the pleasure of it.
“Nyaa~n♡”
“Nyaa~n♡”
Just as Mari in Nyan Para rubbed against me, Aina also pressed up against my leg in real life.
(Please… My self-control… Hold on…!!)
And so, with every ounce of willpower I had, I endured until Mari finally disappeared.
