Regarding the Matter of Beautiful Girls Relentlessly Seeking My Body (Experience Points)
“Yo! Hup! Take that!”
Ever since immersive VR games became widespread, concerns about their dangers have been constantly voiced. Potential negative effects on the brain, risks of visual impairments, or even physical damage to surroundings—such warnings have persisted from the beginning.
“Ah! Geez! Over here next!? Take this! And that!”
There are plenty of risks, but right now, I’m experiencing firsthand just how dangerous this can be.
A beautiful girl is right in front of me, wearing a VR headset and fighting imaginary enemies. She crouches to dodge attacks, kicks into the air to strike back, and even jumps from time to time.
What I’m trying to say is—I’m about to see something I shouldn’t.
With how immersed Okumura-san is in her VR game, I’m dangerously close to seeing up her skirt. When she bends forward to crouch, the gap in her collar gives me a peek inside. Actually, scratch that—I can already see it. A pair of cute, pink underwear. This is bad. This is really bad. My lower half is in danger.
When she snatched my MetaFocus headset, saying, “Since you’re using my PC, I go first!”, I was a bit annoyed. But that frustration vanished instantly.
Sitting on her bed in a “Thinker” pose, I watch her intently.
I’m really glad I bought the MetaFocus. Haven’t even played it yet, but still.
“There! Take this!”
Okumura-san raises her leg high for a kick.
Right towards me.
Her skirt flips up. The alluring curve of her thighs, the striking pink of her underwear—
I feel something hot rising in my nose—
—THUD!!
“Gwah!!”
I was too absorbed in watching and failed to dodge. Her foot slammed right into the side of my head.
“Kyaa! Eh? A-Are you okay!?”
Panicking, Okumura-san rips off her MetaFocus.
“Ah, yeah. I’m fine, really….”
“Ahh! You’re bleeding! Here! Use this tissue!!”
Looks like I got a nosebleed. As I press the tissue to my nose, it stains red.
Okumura-san looks down at me, worried and apologetic. But honestly, I should be the one apologizing.
Because this nosebleed isn’t from getting kicked.
But there’s no way I can say, “I just got too excited from seeing your panties, so don’t worry about it.”
“Seriously, I’m fine. Look, the bleeding’s stopped already. Now it’s my turn!”
“O-Okay.”
When I reach out, she hands over the MetaFocus without hesitation. Probably feeling guilty about kicking me.
“Action games seem dangerous, so I’ll pick something more peaceful.”
Time to dive into the VR world.
As I put on the headset, my surroundings transform. The noise-canceling headphones block out all external sounds. Maybe Okumura-san is saying something, but I can’t hear a thing.
Before me stretches an endless field of green. A gentle stream trickles nearby. Warm sunlight bathes the scene, making it feel like I’m really outside.
After a while, a small kitten approaches.
“Whoa… so cute…”
I kneel down and pet it. The kitten purrs and rolls onto its back.
“It actually feels like I’m touching it.”
My brain must be tricked, because it really feels like I’m stroking soft fur.
I hear another “meow” behind me and turn to see more kittens.
“Oh my god. Oh my god. This is heaven.”
Completely absorbed, I pet them all. They climb onto my lap, nuzzle against my hand. I might just switch from being a dog person to a cat person.
Then, I hear an especially cute voice behind me. Turning around, I see a long-haired cat gazing up at me.
I reach out to pet it—
And feel soft fur sliding between my fingers.
“………………………………………………Ah♡………………………………………………Nn♡”
“Huh? …Did I imagine that?”
For a moment, it sounded like a woman’s voice mixed in with the cat meows.
I look around—just grass, a stream, and lots of kittens.
Thinking too much about it might make it creepy, so I brush it off and continue playing.
After thoroughly enjoying myself, I decide to exit the game and take off the headset.
“Haaaahhhh… that was the happiest experience everrrrr.”
I return from the virtual world to reality. If VR can bring this much joy, the ten grand I spent might actually be worth it.
“O-Oh. That’s… great.”
“Yeah! It was amazing! …Wait, are you okay, Okumura-san? You’re out of breath.”
She sits on the bed, panting, her face slightly flushed.
“I-It’s just… I got tired from that last game.”
“Well, yeah, it was pretty intense.”
“VR games are so good though. I kinda wanna buy my own PC.”
At my casual remark, she suddenly panics.
“N-Not yet! You should think it through more! High-performance PCs are expensive, and not all VR games are fun! Besides, you can come over anytime! If you decide you don’t need it, I-I can buy it off you!”
“Hmm, fair point… wait, you’re not planning to just ‘borrow’ it permanently, are you?”
Jokingly, I tease her.
For a moment, she freezes, then hurriedly responds—
“H-Huh!? O-Oh, well, that… that could work too! You seem pretty gullible!”
“Wow, rude. Anyway, can I get your contact info? Wanna come over again.”
“O-Of course. It’s your MetaFocus, so you should come as much as you want.”
She nods repeatedly, as if convincing herself.
“Oh, and stop calling me ‘Okumura-san.’ Just call me Aina. Or Ain-nyan, if you want.”
“Alright, Aina it is. You can call me whatever you want too.”
“Then… I’ll call you ‘Tatsuya .’”
“Huh? Tatsuya ?”
That was unexpected.
“Why?”
“Well, I’m a fairly well-known streamer. If I accidentally say your name during a live broadcast, it’d be bad, right? But if I call you ‘Tatsuya ,’ I can just say you’re my older brother or something.”
“Ah, makes sense.”
Yeah, if an idol-like streamer casually mentioned a guy’s name, obsessed fans might riot. Calling me a brother figure keeps things safe.
“Well, Aina, I had fun today. I’ll text you later.”
“Mmhmm. If you start missing Ain-nyan, just come over anytime.”
“Idiot. I’ll be coming for my MetaFocus, not you.”
With that exchange, I head back to my house next door.
We only had our first proper conversation today, but it felt like I gained an easygoing, younger childhood friend.
And that made me kind of happy.
