While it was from a school we were keeping an eye on, they came from an entirely unexpected direction, which really surprised me. My younger brother was the one who told me about the video at first, but soon after, it became unavailable. ――It’s said this person is an unknown first-year, not from one of the three great families.
“Have they still not figured out his name? There’s not much information out yet, but we do know which school he’s from. I’m planning a trip out there soon, and I’m adjusting my schedule for it.”
――It’s assumed that he will appear in the “Black Tower” conquest tournament.
“He’s a ‘he,’ right? It was a bit hard to tell in the video. There were some other girls in the video, and they were impressive too. The video title labeled them as rookies, so I assume they’re first-year students, but you could feel the trust between them. I think they’ll form an even better party in the future. Honestly, while I hope to be a formidable senior for them in the tournament, I’m also trembling with anticipation (laughs).”
――What do you think about his unknown skill?
“The skill he used when fighting that color-variant Balloon… Space-time magic users are limited, and their professions should correspond to such abilities. So, this is just speculation, but I think he may be combining several skills to achieve those effects, or possibly utilizing magic tools. I’ll be sure to ask him when we meet, so he should be prepared for that (laughs).”

“Oh, we’re shifting to that topic already? (laughs) School has been super busy, but I can’t let down the fans, so I’ve been working hard on my vocals and dance training. I can’t wait to meet everyone soon! I’m looking forward to showing you the best version of myself, so I’ll be waiting at the venue!”

“Regarding his skills… hmm, even I’m not sure yet. I’ve met many explorers, but I’ve never seen effects like that. If I had to force it into a known category, I’d say the thing that stopped the movement could be gravity magic. That would also explain the scene where he drops a meteor on the Joker.”

“That purple Balloon and the clown-like monster… I think they’re demons, which is why the Explorer Association decided to name them ‘Jokers,’ like the card. Any monster that can shatter a boulder of that size in one blow would give even me a tough fight. That kid’s tactical abilities are top-notch. Despite his youth, he’s able to fully harness his potential.”

- What about that beam that defeated the Joker?
- That’s like the Destruction Beam from Mokémon. He’s the X-number Mokémon!
“Haha, he’s definitely amazing, like a cartoon character who defies our expectations. The secret to that beam might be in the parts of the video that were cut. I don’t know anyone with a magic class who can use that spell. Even our Jack is stumped.”
