After cleaning up from dinner, I retreated to the tent early.
I realized something after spending a night in the tent. This tent’s magical barrier not only wards off magical beasts and monsters and can repel their attacks, but it also blocks out external sounds. When the entrance to the tent is closed, the sounds from the outside world are shut out. I can sleep peacefully without the noise of small animals or magical beasts.
“Camping in the mountains does make the noise of insects and the early morning birds quite bothersome…”
Even within the same magical barrier, when under the tarp, it seems to be considered “outside.” I could still hear the distant howls of magical beasts and the cries of creatures resembling owls. It’s quite atmospheric, but occasionally, the sounds of beasts fighting and their screams would reach me, so I decided to quickly retreat to the tent.
Inside the tent, the usual comfortable attire is sweatpants.
Like on Earth, the seasons here are also around May—likely early summer. It gets slightly sweaty during the day, but it cools down a bit during the night and early morning.
Thanks to the fleece blanket and sleeping bag, I’m sleeping comfortably for now, but thinking ahead, I want to level up the summoning magic online shop as soon as possible.
“According to this magic book, the great forest has four seasons, and it even has a rainy season…”
Since it’s a forest, it probably won’t get as hot as Japan’s intense summer, but I want to prepare an environment that allows for comfortable living. Preparing for winter will be even tougher.
From the status board, I found that the summoning magic online shop even has buildings available.
“The selection varies widely, from storage sheds to tiny houses, cottages, and even container houses.”
I wonder what the minimum level to purchase these would be.
It looks like a lot of points will be needed.
“A storage shed isn’t a house. It’s too small, and it would be hot in summer and cold in winter. A tiny house seems interesting though.”
I can’t buy anything yet, but I can check the details. Tapping on it shows more information.
A tiny house is essentially a small cabin. It seems like something minimalists would like—simple and efficient. If it’s only 14 square meters, I could carry it with the [Item Box]. The price is a whopping 1.5 million points.
I want to say “No way,” but if I were to buy a house, that might be the price range.
“But that’s just the shell… I’d want a bathroom and kitchen, at least.”
If I add 500,000 points for the options, it seems like I could get a kitchen with a sink, a bathroom, and even a loft.
“200,000 points… If the rainy season starts in a month, and I earn 70,000 points a day, I could afford it… but the real problem is whether I can level up summoning magic that much in a month.”
“Well, I’ll have to try. Worst case, I’ll level up Earth Magic to get by during the rainy season and then focus on leveling up and saving points before winter.”
I never expected I’d be worrying about owning a home at this age.
“But maybe it’s fun to browse for properties?”
A storage shed is 50,000 points, and there’s even a barn. A 70-square-meter barn costs 700,000 points.
The barn has a concrete floor and is a single-story building. It would be cool in summer and good for surviving the rainy season, but in winter, I’d definitely freeze to death. Yeah, that’s a no-go.
“A container house costs 4 million points. It has a bath, toilet, and kitchen, which is great. It even has a fireplace!”
The space might be small for a house, but it should be plenty for a single person. It’s also well-equipped.
It doesn’t come with furniture, but since there’s a loft, I could use that for a bed by putting down a futon.
While the tiny house is tempting, the container house has a bathtub, which is a major plus.
“Comparing it to the tiny house, the points needed are double, but if I’m going to get one, it might as well be the container house. It has storage space and a fireplace.”
With a fireplace, the winter heating problem would be easily solved. And firewood can be freely gathered from the trees around.
By the way, the cottage is massive.
It’s a two-story house with 5 bedrooms, a bathroom, a toilet, a kitchen, and a fireplace, but it costs 30 million points.
Yeah, I never planned on buying that. It would be too extravagant for living alone, even if it’s a great place.
“Well, for now, I’ll aim for the tiny house and work hard starting tomorrow.”
During the day, I’ll gather materials and convert the animals I hunted into points. I’ll save mushrooms, wild plants, and fruits for myself.
“Looks like I hunted quite a lot. I’ll convert the materials and magic stones from 57 creatures into points, and I’ll keep the meat for food. Oh, and I wonder if I can convert the wood I chopped down into points too.”
The 13 trees from the Great Forest in my storage each converted into 5,000 points.
“Wait, are you serious? This is really good, isn’t it…?”
If I chop down 10 trees every day, that’s 50,000 points.
The materials from the magical beasts I killed and the items I gathered today amounted to over 60,000 points, so I had earned 130,000 points.
“Even if I subtract the 30,000 points for their shopping, I should still be able to earn 100,000 points.”
If I keep working steadily, it doesn’t seem impossible to purchase a cottage house.
