Chapter 17

Private Rooms with Curtains are OK

“…Hehe.”

“Yura-chan?”

When I kept my head lowered for a while, I heard laughter from above and looked up. Contrary to my expectations, Yura-chan was smiling. She giggled softly, as if something amused her.

“Um… you’re not angry?”

“No, I’m not angry. Tatsuya-kun, you weren’t trying to do anything terrible on purpose, right?”

“Well, yeah, but… um, so why were you looking for me?”

“That’s…”

Yura-chan paused, as if searching for the right words, then spoke again.

“I guess I just wanted to let you know. To tell you I’m okay. I thought maybe you might be feeling guilty or something. And it turns out I was right.”

“Yeah. I’ve been worrying about it all this time. I thought I might have… killed you.”

“That’s true. The shock I felt back then was so intense, I thought I was going to die. Even now, I still remember it sometimes…”

Yura-chan seemed to recall the event from four years ago, hugging herself tightly as she shivered. Just remembering it must be frightening for her.

“I-I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to make you remember something so awful!”

“Something awful…? Ah, no, no, it’s fine! Since we’re here, let me at least tell you everything that’s happened since then. It’s actually why I became an idol.”

Yura-chan took a sip of iced tea through a straw and then continued.

“That day, when I lost consciousness while we were talking in the library, I woke up in a bed. I didn’t know what had happened, but I realized my level had skyrocketed. When I told my parents about it, they got really angry. They thought someone had forced themselves on me. They said we couldn’t stay in this town anymore and decided to transfer me to another school.”

“So that’s why you stopped coming to school the next day.”

“Yeah. A few days later, I noticed something else. My new hair growing in was completely white. It must have turned white because of the shock when you touched me.”

She spoke casually, running her fingers through her white hair.

“I’m sorry… It’s all my fault…”

“Huh? No, don’t worry about it! It suits me, doesn’t it? White hair?”

“Yeah, it looks amazing on you.”

When I said that honestly, Yura-chan gave a shy smile.

“After that, my parents became overprotective, and I wasn’t allowed to go out alone for a while. It wasn’t until my first year of high school that I finally got a bit more freedom. I thought I’d use the chance to visit our hometown to see you, but when I asked our old friends, no one knew where you’d gone. I even went to your house, but your parents wouldn’t tell me anything either. I started to think I might never see you again. Then, just when I was about to give up, I got scouted to be an idol. That’s when I thought, if I became successful as an idol, maybe Tatsuya-kun would see me. Maybe you’d send me a fan letter or something.”

“In the end, I found you first, though,” Yura-chan said with a wry smile.

“I see… Thank you. Knowing you’re alive makes me so happy.”

The fear that I might have killed Yura-chan had haunted me all these years, but finally, today, that weight was lifted.

“Ah, I feel so relieved… and kind of hungry now.”

I glanced at the clock. It was six in the morning. We’d stayed up all night and had greeted the dawn.

“I was thinking of grabbing something to eat for breakfast. Yura-chan, do you want anything? Or is it against the rules for idols to eat stuff like this?”

I looked at the karaoke menu, which had hearty dishes like curry and fried chicken, as well as lighter options like rice balls.

“Yeah, I think I’ll eat something too.”

“What do you want?”

When I looked up to ask her, Yura-chan was suddenly very close.

“Of course, I’ll have Tatsuya-kun.”

“Eh… huh?”

Before I realized it, Yura-chan had moved to sit beside me. Her pale hand rested on my thigh. Her beautiful face filled my vision, and a sweet fragrance enveloped me, causing my mind to go blank.

“I’ve been looking for you this whole time, Tatsuya-kun.”

“Th-that was so you could tell me everything’s okay… right?”

“Yes, but that’s not the only reason.”

Yura-chan smiled seductively, lightly stroking the back of her left hand as if it were a sensitive spot.

“I haven’t forgotten, not even for a single day. That day, when I didn’t know anything, you showed me… such overwhelming pleasure. How could I ever forget something like that?”

Her pale cheeks flushed red as though fevered.

“Hey, did you know? In karaoke rooms with curtains over the doors, there’s an unspoken rule that certain things are okay.”

“Okay? Like what…?”

Yura-chan chuckled and leaned close to whisper in my ear.

“Like, it’s okay to do naughty things. Tatsuya-kun, you can’t just come to karaoke with a girl alone like this. You’ll get attacked, you know? Like this.”

I tried to back away, but Yura-chan grabbed my shoulders with surprising strength and held me in place. She climbed onto my lap and locked eyes with me. I suddenly understood what it felt like to be a frog stared down by a snake.

If this beautiful white snake were to swallow me whole, I might not even mind.

“Hehe. I’m a dungeon diver, remember? There’s no way a guy can escape from me.”

“…You shouldn’t, Yura-chan. You’ll faint again.”

“If I do, then I do. I don’t care anymore. Haa… haa… Tatsuya-kun, I’m sorry, but I can’t hold back anymore. I’ve waited four years. Four years of searching for you.”

Her feverish gaze locked onto me. After being denied that intense pleasure for four long years, it seemed inevitable that she would act like this.

“Tatsuya-kun… Itadakimasu…”

Yura-chan cupped my cheeks with her pale hands, trembling slightly as her slender body leaned closer.

“Ahhh…!”

“Yura-chan, are you okay?!”

“Y-yeah, I’m f-fine…♡”

Despite placing both hands on my cheeks, Yura-chan didn’t faint this time. She slowly leaned in, her face inching closer to mine.

“I… I’m going to kiss you…♡♡”

“Yura-chan…”

“I-I’m not going to lose… ahhhh♡♡♡”

Her hands trembled as she struggled to hold on. Her flushed face neared mine, her lips about to touch—

“Aaaahhh♡♡♡ I-I can’t take it anymore! ♡♡♡”

She convulsed violently, arched her back, and then suddenly went limp, collapsing onto me.

“…Oh.”

Since she was sitting on my lap, her unconscious body naturally fell forward, her lips pressing against mine.

“Y-Yura-chaaaaaaaan!!”

Still unconscious, Yura-chan twitched and convulsed before collapsing onto the sofa.
