A few days after Rain left the Alfied household for diplomatic work…
I was heading to town as usual to deliver potions and other items to the Adventurer’s Guild.
“Wow, the town is as lively as ever today.”
Upon arriving, the streets were bustling with people.
Not long ago, this was a quiet, rural town, but now it was attracting many visitors. Particularly noticeable were the adventurers and soldiers with their robust physiques.
Of course, there was a reason why so many people in these professions were coming to this town. It was because the quality of the recovery potions sold here was exceptionally high.
In this town, not only were standard health recovery potions, known as “Potion,” available, but also mid-quality “High Potion” and high-quality “Mega Potion,” offering a wide range of options.
Moreover, the town sold “Mana Potion” for mana recovery and various items to cure status ailments. Such a wide variety of high-quality potions was something you’d never find in any other town.
Thus, the high-quality recovery items, essential for those who battled monsters and the like, were abundantly available here. Word of this spread, and adventurers and soldiers flocked to the town.
With the increase in visitors, the number of customers at the town’s inns, weapon shops, and eateries also rose significantly, leading to a surge in profits for various establishments over the past few years.
This was the reason behind the significant increase in the town’s tax revenue in recent years. Essentially, the number of people coming to use the recovery potions sold here had skyrocketed. And of course…
(Well, I never thought that randomly concocting potions would lead to something this amazing.)
And, of course, almost all of the recovery potions sold in this town were actually concocted by me.
Over the past few years, driven by a pure gaming mindset to max out my alchemy system level, I had been experimenting with various recovery items. After creating them, I sold them all to the Adventurer’s Guild.
Through the guild, adventurers and soldiers who purchased these potions spread the word about the high quality of the town’s recovery items, leading to a steady increase in visitors.
Well, I was just leveling up my alchemy system, so I never intended to attract more people to the town… but it’s still nice to see the place I live in becoming more vibrant.

Not long after that…
— Rustle, rustle…
“…Huh?”
Upon arriving at the Adventurer’s Guild, I noticed that the guild staff seemed unusually restless today.
Curious about the commotion, I spotted Douglas, the branch manager, nearby and decided to approach him.
“Mr. Douglas, did something happen? The guild staff seem really restless.”
“Huh? Oh, hey, Seras… Good to see you…”
I called out to Douglas, but… he usually seemed so bold, yet today he looked quite downcast.
“Good to see you too. Um… Did something really happen? You don’t look so well, Mr. Douglas…”
“Huh? Oh, yeah, well… Actually, there’s a bit of an emergency… We urgently need an Elixir…”
Douglas muttered this with a terribly pale face.
“Elixir? You mean that top-tier potion known as the ‘Panacea’?”
“Yeah, that’s the one. You’re still young, Seras, but you know your stuff. Haha, guess all that daily alchemy and potion study pays off…”
The Elixir Douglas mentioned is also known as the “Panacea,” the highest-grade potion.
It’s said that the Elixir can cure any illness or injury except death. In the game, using it would fully restore the HP, MP, and status ailments of the entire party, making it the ultimate recovery item.
By the way, the Elixir could only be obtained either from treasure chests in the most challenging dungeons at a low probability or by consuming ultra-rare materials with a low drop rate through “Alchemy.”
So, in Sword Fantasia, obtaining an Elixir is quite difficult. That’s why the guild staff were in such a frenzy over the urgent need for an Elixir.
