Well, there’s no use thinking about things I can’t understand…
Today, Sunday, I decided to start leveling up in the dungeon from the morning.
Before heading out, I purchased some additional paid DLC. Fortunately, I had 32,000 yen from selling the loot I got yesterday.
Here’s what I bought:
- Beginner’s Lightweight Plate Armor Set:
- Lightweight Plate Armor (Top)
- Lightweight Plate Armor (Bottom)
- Lightweight Plate Armor Boots
- Lightweight Plate Armor Gloves
- Beginner’s Value Pack:
- HP +20 Potion
- MP +20 Potion
- STR +5 Potion
- VIT +5 Potion
- INT +5 Potion
- DEX +5 Potion
- AGI +5 Potion
- LUK +5 Potion
- Beginner’s Accessory Set:
- Magic Resistance +5 Ring x2
- Magic Power +10 Necklace
- Item Box Expansion:
- Each purchase increases your item slots by 5. It’s quite expensive for only 5 slots, making it a pretty ruthless paid DLC. Since I expect to get a lot of drops, I expanded it by 4 stages. Eventually, I’ll need to expand the weight limit of the item box too.
After all these purchases, the 32,000 yen I earned yesterday was completely gone.
But there are still tons of paid DLCs in First Final. How greedy can they get with their DLC business?
Recently, they even added a gacha system, which is tough on a high school student’s budget.
Lately, the paid DLCs have been introducing game-breaking items, typical of end-of-life games. Some of them are ridiculously overpowered cheat equipment, but you can’t equip them until you’re at least level 60.
There are also a lot of joke items, especially for female avatars. Things like ribbons that give you twintails, maid outfits, nurse outfits, cat ear headbands… the list goes on.
They’re focusing on the wrong things.

With the paid DLC items and my player skills, I kept descending deeper into the dungeon.
I was so engrossed in the battles that before I knew it, I was already on the 7th floor of the dungeon, right in front of the boss room.
Most boss rooms have a safe zone where you can rest and prepare for the fight. I sat down on a nearby rock to catch my breath.
I took out my phone to check the time.
“Whoa, it’s already 6 PM?!”
I was so absorbed in the dungeon that I lost track of time. It felt like it was just lunchtime.
Speaking of which, I was hungry. I ate the pastry and coffee milk I bought at the convenience store before entering the dungeon.
By the 7th floor, I hadn’t seen anyone else.
According to the news I saw this morning, there are 52 dungeons confirmed across Japan, each with varying difficulty levels. I’m glad there’s a beginner-friendly dungeon just an hour away by train and bus. If it were farther, I wouldn’t have been able to afford the travel expenses with my high school allowance, and I would’ve been stuck from the start.
Just then, I felt a presence coming from the direction I came from. I thought I was the only one on the 7th floor… but it seems like there’s a party of about 8 people.
After finishing my pastry and taking a breather, I stood up.
Alright, time to face the 7th-floor boss! Bring it on!
