Alan, a beautiful boy with his body sticky from the liquid he had released, calmly began to clean up the remnants with a touch of magic. He neatly stored away the provocative outfit he had been wearing for his occupation and instead pulled out casual clothing to change into.
Of course, his underwear was lacy and feminine. He inexplicably donned a bra as well, completing the ensemble with an adorably embroidered dress. Both the lingerie and his knee-high socks were black, and as if that weren’t enough, he even wore a chastity belt.
This world was reminiscent of a medieval society.
Discrimination was far harsher than on modern Earth. Even in the 20th century, nations like Germany outlawed homosexuality by law. Similarly, in this world, it was likely that for several hundred more years, homosexuals would still be treated as criminals.
Especially for someone dressing as the opposite gender and soliciting men—such a person would not merely be labeled as eccentric but considered an abomination worthy of a death sentence. To the people of this world, such individuals were “sick” and “insane.”
Of course, this didn’t mean that sexual minorities didn’t exist in this world. They did, but these individuals desperately hid their identities. Failing to do so meant they couldn’t survive.
If their secret was exposed, they would face severe persecution. In a world that lacked the concept of human rights, individuals could only rely on the bonds of religion or guilds. However, such bonds were severed the moment one was deemed “abnormal.”
For nobles, the situation might differ somewhat. Yet, among beastfolk—who valued strength and masculinity—being a cross-dressing male prostitute was socially fatal.
“Only the Japanese,” people might say, “would celebrate something like a trap!” In fact, in conservative countries even today, homosexuals remain targets of discrimination and violence.
Yet here stood a minority, a beastfolk, and a cross-dressing boy—calmly addressing nobles without a hint of fear.
“Shall we begin? I will share a fragment of the wisdom bestowed by Exas-sama with you all.”
The beautiful boy smiled faintly.
His appearance was picturesque, yet undeniably eccentric.
Together with a woman in a suit, the boy rolled out a whiteboard and began their explanation.
“Let us introduce the New System, or ‘M Language.'”
“M Language differs from conventional sequential-control spellcasting by allowing pre-packaged spells to be activated at any chosen moment, emphasizing unparalleled usability.”
“Put simply for those stuck in the past—spells can be pre-constructed and triggered with any command word. In other words, it offers the functionality of ‘chantless’ spellcasting as a standard.”
“How is this possible, you ask? Because it represents an entirely different technological paradigm from current magic systems. Traditional magic is wasteful, sequentially controlled, and prone to self-destruction or misfire. The New System, or M Language, incorporates safety mechanisms directly into its spell framework, eliminating almost all risks.”
“Additionally, the auxiliary tools developed around M Language enhance its versatility and enable knowledge sharing across disciplines. This makes it particularly appealing, wouldn’t you agree?”
“Then there’s the matter of processing speed. Unlike your traditional methods, which require you to strain your brain to avoid misfires, the processing in M Language is outsourced to an ‘Infinite Computational Domain.’ This means that even so-called ‘forbidden spells’ can be safely handled by anyone.”
“However, it seems you lack the willingness to learn from the start, don’t you?”
“Disrespect toward Exas-sama and toward us is evident. It’s your choice to disdain us, but disdain prevents learning.”
“We’ve trained many newcomers, and rookies like you who display such attitudes rarely improve.”
“Thus, we’ve prepared this for you.”
The boy and girl revealed a book.
“This is the Rapid User-friendly Numeric Expression, or ‘RUNE,’ a guide and magical tool for awakening spell use.”
“By touching the book’s cover, even the untrained can use RUNE spells. Think of it as ‘downloading and installing’—though you likely won’t understand that.”
“We use this tool to train children in the junior divisions in M Language use. For you, it will suffice.”
Their mocking smiles stung the nobles deeply.
Despite their initial humiliation, the nobles couldn’t deny the effectiveness of the RUNE system.
“What incredible usability…!”
“By etching a ‘fire’ rune and finishing with the ‘manifest’ rune, I can conjure a small flame on command. Adding ‘intensity’ adjusts the flame’s power!”
“And… this ‘input’ rune allows on-the-fly adjustments to spell strength?! Remarkable!”
Their astonishment gave way to understanding:
If they freely handed over such advanced technology, how powerful must Exas and his followers be?
The answer was clear.
Exas von Xanadu stood high above them, untouchable by any noble.

Rapid User-friendly Numeric Expression
This technique, called RUNE, is a child-friendly system created using M Language.
You will use this RUNE system to learn the basics of constructing magical techniques until the third grade.
RUNE is a very simple system where you arrange symbols called “runes” and input numbers to create various magical techniques. The symbols are straightforward and easy to understand, making it accessible for everyone.
