Saying this, Arnella spins around in front of me.
Her skirt flares up, revealing her healthy thighs. However, it’s long enough not to show any underwear, so it doesn’t come off as indecent.
Arnella is wearing a maid uniform that was provided in advance by Kasugal.
“It looks good. So this is the uniform for Kasugal’s shop?”
“It’s pretty cute, isn’t it? I’m sure some girls would love to wear it.”
I pinch the edge of the skirt and lift it slightly. Since it reaches above the knees, you’d have to lift it quite a bit to see any underwear.
“Master, you shouldn’t soil this uniform.”
“I’m not aroused. I’m just checking.”
“I see.”
But I might ask for a spare one. It could be fun.
Tomorrow is the grand opening of Kasugal’s shop.
I had Noel and Arnella change in advance to check the uniforms. If this is Kasugal’s taste, he has quite an eye for it. I don’t think he would betray his wife, but if he did, he would definitely be dead.
My outfit is a black formal suit since I’ll be working behind the scenes.
And then there’s Mastema’s outfit.
“Ahavain, I’m not a rabbit. I’m a demon, a great demon who governs a large territory in hell.”
Mastema appears, dressed in an outfit made of leather.
It’s called a bunny suit. She’s wearing rabbit ear accessories on her head, and the outfit looks like a one-piece swimsuit, revealing a lot of skin. She’s also wearing fishnet stockings on her lower half.
This was my idea. I even got Kasugal’s approval. It should add some excitement.
Apparently, this kind of outfit is trending in a distant eastern land, and recently it’s become popular here too. It was quite expensive, but I bought three of them, tailored to fit these girls.
If Mastema had a good figure, it might look like something from a shady store, but with her figure, it doesn’t look too indecent.
“You’re thinking something unpleasant.”
“No, no. It suits you well and looks cute. Here.”
I give Mastema a candy.
“Really? Well, if you say so.”
Mastema, with her mouth full of candy, looks happy.
The day of the store’s grand opening arrives.
Entering Kasugal’s shop early in the morning, it’s bustling inside. Material deliveries, cooking preparations, setting up the venue, negotiating with vendors—it’s a flurry of activity.
I finally manage to catch Kasugal.
“You’re early. Thanks for coming. Sorry for the chaos.”
“This is quite something. Should I just help out wherever I can?”
“Thanks, that would be great. I have a delivery to take care of. I’ll see you later.”
And with that, he runs off. I’ve never seen Kasugal like this before. It must be really tough. Adventurers usually have quite a bit of freedom even when working in parties.
I head to the kitchen, which seems to be the busiest. Noel and Arnella are handy and hardworking, but they’re not suited for heavy lifting.
The chefs glare at me, but when I tell them Noel and Arnella will help, their expressions soften. The two of them quickly start assisting in the kitchen.
They might be even more efficient than the chefs.
Seeing them, the chefs start working harder too. The kitchen should be fine now.
I’ll need to reward them later.
Mastema and I handle the heavy lifting.
With my large build, it’s expected, but seeing Mastema in a bunny suit carrying heavy loads shocks a lot of people.
But everyone soon gets caught up in the busy atmosphere and stops noticing.
We move supplies back and forth, setting up the venue.
Even Renatishia, who’s heavily pregnant, couldn’t stay home and came to check things out.
She laughed out loud seeing me carry stuff.
I’m helping out for your sake, you know…
“Sorry, I was just surprised.”
“Really. Well, it’s fine.”
“That must be the famous girl. She’s really attached to you.”
“She just likes to eat and play.”
“That’s good for a child. I heard she’s a demon. Ahavain, are you planning to change jobs from being an adventurer?”
“Not yet. I still have things to do. But…”
I look around Kasugal’s shop.
It’s full of life and energy.
I don’t know if the shop will succeed, but this is fun.
Adventurers are originally festival lovers. I don’t dislike this kind of atmosphere.
“I’ll think about it. I do want to make money.”
“Take care of yourself. Stay healthy.”
“That’s my line.”
Renatishia seems much happier than when she was an adventurer.
She never used to laugh so much. She always seemed somewhat tired.
Most of the major tasks are done, and people are starting to gather in front of the store.
For the opening ceremony, food will be provided outside for free. Only invited guests will be allowed inside.
Invited guests include Nia and Marg, who are closely connected to us as adventurers.
This isn’t a formal place, so they should enjoy themselves.
Mastema and I have finished helping inside and start our actual job as security.
For some reason, Arnella and Noel are giving instructions to the head chef and the sous chef.
What’s going on? The chefs are following their directions like apprentices, working efficiently.
Outside, I inform the gathered people about the start time and assure them that enough food will be provided, so there’s no need to crowd.
This area is well-located and full of well-behaved people. They’re more curious about the new event than just being after food.
And finally, Kasugal’s shop opens.
