The meeting continued for several days. Numerous countries presented valuable books and shared information in the form of royal legends, revealing knowledge that would have been impossible to learn from within the borders of the Kingdom of Raksaria alone.
Each passing day, Martina’s eyes grew brighter… At first, she simply sat quietly, but by the second day, she began offering a few opinions. On the third day, she started asking questions about the information presented, and by the fourth day, she had spread a nearly completed magic circle halfway across the table.
“Everyone, thank you so much for the many meaningful pieces of information…! Thanks to all of you, the magic circle, which I only understood halfway, is now much closer to being complete. Lord Sophian, may I add the information I have gathered so far?”
Upon hearing Martina’s words, Sophian smiled wryly and glanced at everyone gathered in the meeting room.
“Everyone, I hadn’t properly introduced Martina, but she has an extraordinary memory. Hmm… Martina, do you remember the history book that was presented on the second day of the meeting?”
“Of course.”
“Then, could you recite the 31st page of that book from the beginning? Anyone who has the history book, please verify the content.”
“Understood. —Thus, the humans who lived quietly at the foot of the mountain stored their knowledge for future generations in stone boxes. To fill the gaps, they used plants with preservative effects—”
Martina then recited the entire page without hesitation, and all eyes turned to the young man who had been verifying the history book. When he nodded in disbelief, everyone’s gaze shifted back to Martina.
“She has this extraordinary memory. Therefore, since Martina has memorized all the information revealed in the meetings up to this point, would it be acceptable to entrust her with the important task of restoring the magic circle?”
After witnessing such an incredible ability, no one could oppose this proposal. With everyone’s approval, Martina eagerly began drawing the magic circle.
“First, I will draw the parts from the history book that can be directly added. After that, I will infer from each piece of information, and finally, I will deduce from the way magic circles are drawn.”
As a request from the Kingdom of Raksaria, the meeting had sought information not only about the accumulation of toxic miasma and the summoning of saints, but also about magic circles.
At this point, Martina had accumulated enough knowledge to draw even complex magic circles from scratch if needed.
Everyone watched intently as Martina worked. Silence filled the room, and only the sound of Martina’s pen moving could be heard.
After about an hour passed, Martina’s pen suddenly stopped.
“…Based on the information we have so far, this is the limit. The part that determines the coordinates necessary for the summoning and the part that converts magical power are still missing.”
“Well, if that’s the case, perhaps the information from our country can be useful.”
From there, Martina indicated what information was missing, and the countries that held it shared their details, allowing the restoration of the magic circle to continue.
After about two more days, with about 80% of the magic circle restored, both Martina’s pen and the voices presenting information ceased.
“Martina, do you think you can finish the last 20% of the restoration?”
At the question from Sophian, the facilitator of the meeting, Martina gazed intently at the magic circle and nodded slowly.
“After carefully reviewing the information you’ve all provided and combining it with the knowledge on how to make the magic circle… I think it may be possible. But we won’t know until we try.”
“Understood. Then, Martina, may I entrust this to you?”
Sophian, looking at her with a trusting gaze, Martina met his eyes and nodded firmly.
“Leave it to me.”
“Then it’s in your hands. —Everyone, thank you for your hard work during these consecutive meetings. We will have a few days of rest. Once the schedule for the next meeting is decided, you will be notified. In the meantime, please rest well in your rooms.”
With that, the lengthy meeting came to a close, and the representatives from each country left the room with smiles brighter than when they had first arrived.
