Sword Fantasia is an erotic simulation RPG that was released nearly a decade ago.
In simple terms, the story follows the classic tale of a hero protagonist embarking on a journey to defeat the evil Demon King.
Of course, being an erotic game, you can increase affection with female characters to unlock dedicated intimate scenes and even see marriage events in certain endings.
However, the original scriptwriter had a very strong style, featuring many intense erotic scenes and graphic violence, giving the game a heavy, dark fantasy vibe.
When I first encountered Sword Fantasia, I was…
“Wow, this takes me back. Sword Fantasia came out when I was a freshman in college, right? I remember sinking countless hours into it back then.”
As a dark fantasy game with erotic and grotesque elements, it perfectly suited my edgy tastes at the time, and I played it tirelessly from day one, sacrificing sleep.
The storyline was an edgy dark fantasy as expected, with an engaging plot and tough difficulty that added to its appeal. It also had loads of hidden content and replayability, making it an incredibly entertaining game.
Back then, there were plenty of people as edgy as me, so despite being an adult game, Sword Fantasia was wildly popular.
Whenever new information about it came out, it would instantly trend on social media, and at that time, Sword Fantasia consistently ranked among the top fanbook genres at conventions.
One of the popular characters from this famous game was a man called “Seras Alfeid.” If I recall, he was a 25-year-old man in the story.
And that Seras—well, he’s technically me now. So, how did he fare in the story? He was simply a villain. No, not just any villain… Seras was the worst villain in the story.
In Sword Fantasia, Seras Alfeid was feared as the “Warmonger.” A pure-blooded lunatic who loved war and killing, he was a lethal warrior who could defeat any opponent when wielding a sword. He was also the leader of the most dangerous mercenary group, who would accept any vile job for a high price.
Seras, after receiving a large sum of money from the Demon King, joined the Demon King’s army and repeatedly clashed with the hero’s party from the early stages to the finale as one of the boss characters.
Seras had a particularly nasty personality. While you might expect a villain to be evil, Seras was brutal beyond imagination.
After being hired by the Demon King, he followed orders to capture nobles and royalty from the human side, including defenseless women and children.
There was a scene where he forced the captured nobles to kneel and beg for their lives, only to laugh and massacre them all. That sickening scene is still vivid in my mind.
But Seras’ most loathsome act wasn’t even that scene. The absolute worst was when he murdered one of the hero’s allies in cold blood.
Although Sword Fantasia is an adult game, it’s a simulation RPG, not a visual novel—you control characters in battle.
At the start of the game, a kind, older-sister type character joins as a support unit, guiding the player through combat and system tutorials.
As the game progresses, there’s a forced event where she leaves the party, and after that, she can never be reunited with the player.
In reality, this sisterly character was a well-known noble with connections to the royal family, a person of global significance. As a result, she ended up on Seras’ execution list.
In the middle of the story, she’s captured by Seras, and there’s a horrifically brutal scene where she’s repeatedly assaulted by numerous men in a cell. Being an adult game, her traumatic experience was depicted in painstaking detail.
Eventually, the endless assault drives her to complete mental breakdown, and Seras watches her in that state, laughing as he finally decapitates her. This is considered the most sickening scene involving Seras.
Most players, including me on my first playthrough, probably assumed she would rejoin the hero’s party in the second half. But witnessing her horrific fate was a massive shock.
She was my favorite character, and I had planned to pursue her marriage ending if she returned. But I was left in despair by her tragic fate—a feeling I still remember.
In short, Seras Alfeid was a character of pure, loathsome evil, deeply hated by many players.
This detestable boss had to be fought numerous times from the start to the end, and he was notoriously strong, causing players immense frustration and despair with frequent game-overs.
However, in the final showdown in the last dungeon, if you defeated him, the battered Seras would be captured by the royal army, subjected to prolonged torture, and finally torn to pieces in a gruesome execution, ending his story in agonized screams.
And with that scene, every player watching felt a deep sense of satisfaction and gave him a well-deserved “Serves you right!”
Wait… does that mean I…?
“…Oh no! If things go on like this, I’m doomed to face that execution!”
Realizing this terrifying truth, I began to panic. I rushed to the mirror in the cabin to see my reflection.
There, staring back, was a young child, but with Seras Alfeid’s distinct features—fiery red hair and violet-blue eyes.
