Chapter 63

Fighting Lover Squadron

As expected, nothing happened.

With two layers of monster repellent barriers and an alarm system, neither monsters nor thieves would approach.

Apparently, the old man from Kuruges tried to have other teachers and seniors outside the barrier break through it during the night, but the knights’ swords were naturally deflected, and even the wizards’ attack magic was bounced back.

We just slept soundly.

So, I woke up early and started preparing breakfast.

The usual long-life bread, a simple soup made with consomme cubes and frozen vegetable mix, and I added some large frozen herb sausages.

I also made cocoa by dissolving cocoa powder in long-life milk (which lasts about three months) and served it with Camembert cheese and homemade pickles.

“This is… luxurious!”

“Wow…!”

Grace and Drill had woken up.

Francis and Yuki had been up for a while, doing some light morning exercises. They said the radio calisthenics I taught them were amazing!

Apparently, they don’t feel right unless they do a bit of exercise first.

In normal camp settings, it’s standard to conserve energy and avoid unnecessary activities, but I guess these guys are now seeing this as more of a camping trip.

Well, I can’t blame them. With the monster repellent always active, no monsters are coming near, and the barrier and alarms ensure a peaceful night’s sleep. Of course, the sense of danger would fade.

Ada? Ada is helping me cook by my side.

For some reason, Ada always wakes up within five seconds after I do. What’s with this girl?

Well, I guess it’s because we always sleep together…?

…Let’s not think too hard about that.

Anyway, after breakfast, we’ll head into the forest…

In the forest, following the old man from Kuruges’ instructions, we turned off the monster repellent magic tools.

Apparently, we can’t get graded unless we fight.

Alright, let’s fight then.

“By the way, Ada, do you remember when we were working on summoning magic?”

“Yes! Actually, I’ve brought Soufflé with me today, too.”

With that, Ada blew a sharp whistle, and a majestic white wolf appeared.

It’s Soufflé, the familiar I gave to Ada a long time ago.

Apparently, Soufflé has been quietly protecting Ada all this time.

In its mouth was the arm of a hobgoblin.

“But you know, I’ve been thinking recently—does it really have to be a living creature?”

“Wait, but Lord Exus, didn’t you once say that non-living familiars are inferior to living ones because they can’t consume food to replenish energy?”

“Yes, exactly! But I’ve found a way around that…”

“Really?”

“Yeah. You know those wild golems, right? I observed how they replenish their energy, and it turns out they draw energy from the earth’s ley lines while in sleep mode!”

“I see! So, you mean they draw directly from the dragon veins?”

“No, they seem to absorb the excess magical energy seeping out of the ground from the ley lines. So, I applied that concept…”

I tapped the passcode into the tablet I was carrying.

In an instant…

“Activated. Mode: Standby.”

“This is what I’ve created.”

A humanoid robot, about 2 meters tall, flew over.

Its name is Felmer.

Felmer Unit 1.

With sharp-edged designs, razor-sharp claws, pointed toes, wing-like flight units…

It doesn’t have handheld weapons, but it shoots magic arrows from its wrists, gamma-ray lasers from its visor, positron blades from its claws, and its overwhelming power and speed are its most distinctive features.

Of course, it’s unbeatable.

An ogre!

A monster even stronger than orcs, who themselves possess combat power on par with elite knights!

Its tough red hide deflects most swords and arrows, and its mighty arms can snap a bull’s neck with a single blow!

Without a mage, it would take ten elite knights in full plate armor sacrificing their lives just to defeat one—an incredible monster!

…And yet, that ogre’s head was crushed in one hand.

Yeah, sorry.

This one unit could destroy a nation.

“Aaahhh!!”

Oh, Francis is screaming.

It’s the usual.

Hm? No, wait, this is different.

“So cooool!!!”

Ah, okay.

“Hey Exus! What’s that?! It’s so cool! Can I have one too?!”

Huh?

I see.

Francis likes that kind of thing.

Of course, Francis, Yuki, and Grace have all worked hard up until now.

They aren’t just pets pampered as my lovers.

They have the skills of high-ranking members of the secret society Aurora.

“Here I go! ‘Fortress System: Run!’”

Francis begins by manifesting a small-scale fortress with her magic.

It’s simply a steel shield, forming a small bunker-like structure, but the steel bunker is impenetrable to most magic.

Well, considering her family specializes in creating fortifications from steel, it’s not surprising.

And then…

“‘Clairvoyance: Run.’”

With her clairvoyance magic, she scans the area outside the bunker.

“‘Fire Control System: Run.’”

Using fire control magic, she automates the ballistic calculations and targeting.

“Load!”

Several shells float around the bunker, ready to fire.

“And lock on!”

The monsters in her line of sight…

“Fire!”

She unloads a barrage of steel bullets!

Yeah, she’s pretty strong.

Basically, she’s like a tank.

Most mages in this world would be crushed by her.

Thanks to the fire control magic I taught her, the accuracy of her bombardment spells has improved severalfold.

Before, she was firing cannons by instinct, but now she can lock onto targets, making it possible to hit moving targets at long range. That’s a huge advantage.

The projectiles have also evolved from simple shells into rocket-shaped warheads, significantly increasing their power.

That’s the result of teaching her physics and ballistics.

Francis’ greatest asset is her ability to handle heavy computations like those in the fire control system. That’s a natural talent.

“Yuki Zangetsu! Here I go! ‘Diamond Demon King System: Run!’”

Yuki, though more of a close-combat type, has also found ways to improve.

She wields four arms made of green particles, each holding a sword, and her form also sprouts several mouths and eyes.

Let me tell you in advance…

Yuki’s greatest strength is her parallel thinking ability.

She can multitask.

This allows her to control the additional mouths, eyes, and arms, performing multiple actions at once—an insane skill.

On top of that, she’s refined her body enhancement magic, drawing strength comparable to an orc from her slender frame.

She’s fending off an entire pack of shadow panthers, black leopard monsters, all by herself.

A girl who fights off a pack of black leopards and kills them… that’s terrifying.

Meanwhile, Grace is…

“I’m going! ‘Memory Copy: Run!’”

Her specialty, which earned her the title of a saint at the church, is healing magic.

However, what they call healing is actually a crude method that dissolves the body’s information and redistributes it evenly, merely closing wounds.

The church calls this pathetic technique a divine miracle—it’s laughable.

…First of all, let’s start with the basics.

This world operates on programs—on ‘information,’ essentially units like particles.

By partially converting the human body into ‘information,’ you can redistribute it evenly to close wounds. That’s the church’s healing magic.

On the other hand…

The healing magic I taught her reads past data of the target and overwrites it onto their current state to heal them.

This method doesn’t just heal wounds—it cures diseases, blood loss, and even limb loss.

…You get the point.

‘Memory Paste: Run.’

In other words, it overwrites incorrect data.

It reads the data from a nearby corpse and overwrites it onto a living target.

In essence, it’s a copy of external injuries…

And it’s impossible to defend against.

The reason Grace can master such a technique is simply because the ‘capacity’ of Grace as an existence is large.

Each of the three has their own strengths, after all.

It’s not like I chose them just for their looks.

Okay, sorry, that’s a lie—I did consider their looks too.

But in a world like this, if someone has the means to maintain their appearance and nourish themselves enough for their body to grow properly, they’re likely a person of decent social standing who developed normally…

In other words, cute and smart girls are those who grew up well-fed and well-educated in wealthy families. Harsh reality, huh!

A story in which the heroine begs for the enemy's life

Reincarnated into another world! A programmer who died on Earth wakes up to find himself a baby in a fantasy world! Though it may seem like a fantasy world, magic is processed in a computer-program-like manner for some reason! Being an Earth programmer, he can manipulate spells to wield powerful magic! It's cheating! Totally OP! I see, it's a common setup. ...But there's one problem. This guy is fatally unsuited to be the protagonist.
