So, why did I play such a game?
It’s not that I’m a fan of depressing games. In fact, I’m a happy-ending enthusiast.
But there’s one reason I played this game—because I found my first true favorite character.
Her name is Hera Dragonslay, and in this world, she is considered the ultimate evil. I was genuinely in love with her.
With her beautiful, silky, straight, silver hair and her sharp, powerful crimson eyes, she has a perfectly cold and beautiful face. At 172 cm tall, she has a model-like, slender body with a decent bust.
Not only does she possess these flawless looks, but she is the daughter of the Dragonslay duchy, with vast wealth, intelligence, and a strong contracted spirit, making her seem almost inhuman in her perfection.
But that’s not why I fell for her.
Hera, known for her cold and ruthle ss demeanor, has earned the nickname “The Coldhearted Lady.” However, in truth, she was born during a time when both of her parents were having affairs, so neither they nor the servants ever loved her.
Because of this, she longed for love more than anyone, dreaming of romantic encounters straight out of a shoujo manga. Behind her cold facade, she was a kind person who would secretly help anyone in trouble, offering warnings or advice to those at risk of being bullied at the academy.
However, despite her kindness and desire for love, she was painfully aware of the feelings of those around her. She realized that none of the people who approached her truly loved her, causing her to fall into despair. In the world of nobles, few truly love one another, and Hera, burdened by her duchy’s power, only attracted people who sought to exploit her.
In the end, she makes a contract with an evil god, a race that once opposed the spirits, and becomes the final boss, pushing the protagonist and his companions to their limits.
By the way, there’s no route in the game where she can be a heroine. She will inevitably become an enemy.
But that’s only in the game.
Now that I’m in this world, there’s no status board, no logout button. Whether the story’s events are predetermined is unknown, but luckily, my character—Shin—has no significant role in the plot.
Even more fortunate, Shin is revealed in the official fanbook to be one of the strongest hidden characters.
That’s why I’ve decided to use this power to save Hera—the kindest, most love-starved, and most despair-filled character.
“I need to become stronger… for her.”
So that no one can defeat me.
There’s only one year until the story begins.
